Why Should I Go Into A Cybersecurity Career?
In the last six years, cybersecurity jobs have seen a 94% increase. You have the perfect time to get a career in cybersecurity if you are looking for a career that is always evolving and changing. There are many jobs in cybersecurity that can offer career growth opportunities. Cyberseek estimates that there are nearly 500,000 job opportunities. Degree vs Certifications
A degree in cybersecurity is more expensive than a certification and takes much longer. The degree provides a broad range of understanding that can be applied to many different industries but has fewer hands-on skills.
Employers want to see that you have the right certification. There is also a legal requirement (see above). According to Information Week’s Dark Reading salary survey, 70% said that certifications are the most important training for their careers. Only 10% said they have a bachelor’s degree while 5% said they have a master’s degree.

Can I really finish the training in 5 weeks?
Microsoft and the Computing Technology Industry Association are globally respected industry leaders. The Cyber Security IT Pro program curriculum and hands on labs were developed by Microsoft and CompTIA and is designed to be able to be completed in five weeks (or ten weeks if you choose evening classes).
How can I get hired as a Cybersecurity professional without a degree?
CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ are the most important certifications you need if you are brand new to cybersecurity. Here is why: There is a little-known government regulation called DOD-8570. Although technically it has been updated as DOD-8140, the chart used the DOD-8570 old format. You need at least one of these certifications if your position might expose you to sensitive government information. CompTIA Security+ is the minimum requirement. This certification is required by even companies that are not going to work with the government. You should be able to get a job if you have these certifications.
