How can I get hired as a Cybersecurity professional without a degree?
CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, are the most essential certifications you will need if your new to cybersecurity. Here is why: There is a little-known government regulation called DOD-8570. (Technically, it has been updated to DOD-8140, but that uses the old DOD-8570 chart). It states that if you are in a position where you might be exposed to sensitive government data, then you must have at least one of the certifications they have listed for that position. CompTIA Security+ is the minimum requirement. This certification is required by even companies that are not going to work with the government. These certifications are highly desirable and will help you to be placed.
