The cost of a cybersecurity degree is higher than a certification, and it takes more time. While the degree offers a wide range of knowledge that can be applied in many industries, it has less hands-on skills.

How can I get a job in Cybersecurity without a degree
CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, are the most essential certifications you will need if your new to cybersecurity. This is why: The DOD-8570 regulation is a lesser-known government regulation. It has been technically updated to DOD-8140. However, it still uses the DOD-8570 chart. You must hold at least one certification if you’re in a situation where sensitive government data might be available to you. Typically the minimum asked for is CompTIA Security+. This certification is required by even companies that are not going to work with the government. These certifications are highly desirable and will help you to be placed.
