In the last six years, cybersecurity jobs have seen a 94% increase. If you’re interested in a career that is always changing and evolving, the perfect time is now to pursue a career in cybersecurity. There are many opportunities for career advancement in cybersecurity, which is a rapidly growing industry. Cyberseek estimates that there are nearly 500,000 job opportunities. There are more than 6,000 job opportunities in the Tampa / St.Petersburg/ Clearwater area, for example. This means that cybersecurity professionals need to be available at all times.
Which should you get for cybersecurity-A degree or Certifications?
While a certificate is cheaper than a degree in cybersecurity, it takes longer and costs more. The degree is more general and can be applied to many industries. However, it requires less practical skills.
A certification shows that you are able to demonstrate the skills employers require. Also, there is a legal requirement (see above). According to Information Week’s Dark Reading salary survey, 70% said that certifications are the most important training for their careers. Only 10% said they have a bachelor’s degree while 5% said they have a master’s degree.

How can I finish the training in just five weeks?
Microsoft and the Computing Technology Industry Association are globally respected industry leaders. The Cyber Security IT Pro program curriculum and hands on labs were developed by Microsoft and CompTIA and is designed to be able to be completed in five weeks (or ten weeks if you choose evening classes).
How Can I Get Hired in Cybersecurity Even Without a Degree?
CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ are the most important certifications you need if you are brand new to cybersecurity. Here’s why: A little-known regulation by the government is DOD-8570. It has been technically updated to DOD-8140. However, it still uses the DOD-8570 chart. It states that if you are in a position where you might be exposed to sensitive government data, then you must have at least one of the certifications they have listed for that position. CompTIA Security+ is the minimum requirement. This certification is required by even companies that are not going to work with the government. You should be able to get a job if you have these certifications.
