Why Should I Train For Cybersecurity?
The number of cybersecurity jobs increased by 94% in the last six years. If you’re looking for a career in cybersecurity, now is the right time. Cybersecurity is a growing industry with a lot of different jobs that offer ample opportunity for career growth. Cyberseek claims that there are over 500,000 job openings. Clearwater, Tampa, St.Petersburg, and Clearwater have over 6,000 job vacancies. These numbers indicate that cybersecurity professionals must always be in demand.
What gets you a job faster in cybersecurity-a degree or certifications
The cost of a cybersecurity degree is higher than a certification, and it takes more time. The degree is more general and can be applied to many industries. However, it requires less practical skills.
You can demonstrate that you have the skill an employer is looking for by getting the right certification. The law also requires you to have the right certification (see above). Because of all this, according to a recent Information Week’s, Dark Reading salary survey, 70% of workers in cybersecurity said certifications were the most important training in developing their career. Only 10% of respondents said they had a bachelor’s or master’s degree, while 5% said they had a combination.

On February 20, 2021, the average cybersecurity professional salary in America was $112974. The average cybersecurity salaries are between $65,000 (25th%) and $145,000. (75th%) Entry levels typically have lower salaries but offer exceptional work opportunities with greater responsibility and higher mobility.
Can I really finish the training in 5 weeks?
Microsoft and the Computing Technology Industry Association, (CompTIA), are internationally recognized industry representatives who developed the Cyber Security IT Professional program curriculum, which is designed to complete your training in five weeks (or ten weeks if you choose evening classes). They also created the hands-on labs.
How can I get hired as a Cybersecurity professional without a degree?
CompTIA Cybersecurity+ and CompTIA Net+ are two of the most important certifications that you’ll need, if you’re new to cybersecurity. This is why: The DOD-8570 regulation is a lesser-known government regulation. Technically, it has been updated by DOD-8140 but still uses the DOD-8570 chart. You must hold at least one certification if you’re in a situation where sensitive government data might be available to you. Typically the minimum asked for is CompTIA Security+. Even companies that do not work with government agencies are required to obtain this certification. You should be able to get a job if you have these certifications.
